Help Billy Recover from a Vicious Attack
Donation protected
I'm Stan. I adopted Billy from Seattle Beagle Rescue last January. He and I have had a wonderful relationship, he's become my unofficial emotional rescue dog. Last May, he and I enjoyed a three week 4,200 mile road trip to Los Angeles and back, we drove the coast all the back to Seattle. I love this little guy. On July 9, 2025, I was taking him for a walk around my condo complex and I met up with a couple neighbors. We were standing in front of a condo which had two large pit bulls barking in both the living room and bedroom windows. This unit is directly behind mine and the barking has kept me up at night for the past six weeks. The three of us were standing 20 feet away from the unit when a large 75-100lb pit bull leapt through the open screenless bedroom window and viciously attacked Billy while I had him on a leash. The dog tore at Billy's left-rear hind quarters ripping his fur and biting his skin. It was brutal. I was able to pull Billy from the pit bull's jaws and get him away from the condo when the pit bull ran back into the open bedroom window. King County Animal Control is well aware of the dogs in that unit and have filed heavy fines on the owners. Billy's vet bills have accumulated to just under $15,000 which has virtually drained my bank account. His future care will easily top another $5,000. I am a retired individual on a fixed Social Security monthly income that barely covers my monthly rent. Please help me offset the exorbitant cost of keeping Billy alive and healthy. Thank you, Stan
