We are raising money for Billy Maxx.  He was involved in a terrible accident on Father’s Day. While enjoying time with his kids and grandchildren he was engulfed in flames while starting a bon fire. He sustained 2nd and 3rd degree to his torso, arms hands and neck, with the full length of both arms and tops of his hands enduring the most damage. Currently he is under care at Upstate’s burn unit where they are doing daily excruciating cleaning of his burned skin.   He will be undergoing skin graft surgery this week and will remain in the hospital for a few weeks before being sent home to heal further. He is expected to be unable to work for months due to the healing time and the extensive physical therapy he will have to undergo to regain mobility in his arms and fingers. If you know Billy Maxx you know that second to his family is his love of playing music. Not being able to use his fingers to play guitar is going to be tough for him. As Bill is unable to work and facing a lengthy recovery his fiancé Ashley will be their only source of income. We are asking for donations to help them pay for their living expenses and the care of his two boys, as well as any medical expenses that are not covered by insurance. Bill would be and has been the first to volunteer his time playing music at benefits for anyone in need, let’s come together to help Bill get back on his feet and playing music again! We will update this page with Billy Maxx’s recovery  progress along the way.
