Billy was diagnosed with Spinal Chordoma- a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer of the spine.

In his major surgery at Johns Hopkins doctors had to remove vertebrae L1 , L2, L3 and L4 and replace with a cadaver bones to reconstruct his spine.

They also used one of his ribs to support the spine which required deflating the lung. He needed blood transfusion due to the intensity of the surgery. He has such a long road to recovery.
