Supporting Billy's Family Through Their Cancer Journey

Our Story

With heavy hearts, we are reaching out to our community to support Billy, our beloved husband, father, coach, and friend, who is battling small cell lung cancer since September 9, 2024 (Our 15th wedding anniversary!). Despite aggressive treatment and Billy's incredible strength throughout this difficult journey, we recently received the devastating news that his cancer has not responded to treatment and has metastasized to his skull, vertebrae, and liver. His doctors have given him a prognosis of weeks to six months.

Billy has always been the foundation of our family—a dedicated husband to Liz and a loving father to their 19-year-old son, Jack. For years, Billy has been the one who supported others, never asking for anything in return. Now, our family faces not only the emotional burden of this prognosis but also the financial challenges that lie ahead.

How Your Support Will Help

Your donations will go toward:

1. Family Support Fund: Creating financial stability for Liz and Jack after Billy's passing, including assistance with bills and daily living expenses during this transition.

2. East Coast Family Road Trip: Fulfilling Billy's wish to travel up the East Coast to visit his family in New York. This two-week journey will require special accommodations—multiple hotel stays along the route that can accommodate Billy's medical needs and ensure his comfort during travel. This precious time will allow Billy to say his goodbyes to extended family and create lasting memories with Liz and Jack away from hospital rooms.

3. Supporting Jack's Education: Helping ensure Jack can continue his education plans—he's set to attend Mississippi State University in Starkville in 2026 to complete his final two years studying Aerospace Engineering, a dream Billy has always encouraged and taken great pride in.

4. End-of-Life Care: Ensuring Billy has access to comfort care and pain management to maintain his dignity and quality of life during his final journey
