Help Billy Banks while he recovers from GBS

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, Billy had one of his best days in a long time feeling well enough to work in the shop. He bought a hunting license for the first time in the 3 years since his accident. By Sunday, 4 days later, he was paralyzed from the neck down, on a ventilator and unable to communicate. Billy has GBS- Guillain-Barre Syndrome. His immune system is basically attacking his nervous system trying to fight a virus that he caught. Billy has already endured more than most can bare. After the accident, Billy's family was told not to expect him to make it through the night and if he did, he would probably never walk or talk again. Billy beat the odds and after multiple surgeries, set backs and many months of rehab, Billy was beginning to get his life back. Last season he was able to ref high-school basketball again and was looking forward to the new season. On Wednesday he got his hunting license and planned to hunt for the first time since his accident... another huge achievement. Billy and Angie (my mother) have been working to get his body shop back up and running. Then this happened and everything that he has worked so hard for was taken away in a matter of a few days.

Angie travels the 2 hour drive every day from Walton to Albany to be with him until visiting hours are over and they kick her out. Billy again has had multiple surgeries and will need to go to rehab once more to recover when he is able to breath on his own. This is going to be another long road for Billy and for my mom. It is expected to take months for him to recover. Mom is not working at this time so that she can be with him. Any help for medical, travel and living expenses would be greatly appreciated to help them get through this and get Billy back.
