In August of 2025 my sister, Billi Jo (Sage), was diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the past four months she has been traveling to Boston for her chemotherapy treatments. Early on, she continued working during her treatment; chemo has placed a significant toll on her body. This has lead to her taking a leave of absence from work.

She now faces a substantial financial burden as she pays medical and household bills with continuing radiation and herceptin injections. While she is profoundly grateful for health insurance, it does not come close to covering all the expenses.

No one deserves to have this added stress while trying to heal from cancer and the intense treatment.
