Help Bill Ron and family

Bill Ron was one of the best track bike mechanics in the world and had a one-man bike shop in Redondo Beach CA near his home. Bill suffered a massive stroke in early June 2019, and was hospitalized for 3 months after several days of being totally nonresponsive. Bill is receiving treatment and therapy but is still struggling to use his right side or speak intelligibly. He is now home, and his wife Thekla and kids are working hard to help him recover. But the small business has had to shut down. He is gradually getting better, but very slowly. He will use a wheelchair for some time. It is not uncommon to take years of medication, tests, and therapy to be recovered well enough to return to some form of "one's old self".

His clients include Olympic cyclists, World Champions and National teams with whom he sometimes travels to support equipment needs. He also helped many young riders to learn the sport and become champions as well. We hope you will spread the word about this fundraising effort. Please give Bill and his family a bit of the help they need in this difficult time. Send a link for this page, or copy shortcut gf.me/u/u6gncc to your contacts.
