Help Bill Manor Recover from COVID

Donation protected
This fundraiser is to help Bill Manor in his recovery from COVID and to help with any medical expenses that he is incurring and loss of income to support himself and his family.

Bill is currently in the COVID Unit at CoxHealth on a ventilator. He tested positive for COVID on January 5, 2021. At first he had moderate symptoms: fever, body aches, chills, and fatigue.  It was up and down through the days, feeling the worst at night and first thing in the morning.  Eventually he started having shortness of breath and breathing issues.  On January 13 I called to check on him at 9:30am and I couldn’t reach him. He wasn’t answering calls or texts, which is unusual for him.  It didn’t feel right. I decided to go check on him at about 11:30am. Thank God I did! I was not quite prepared for what I found. He was conscious but not responding to me at all.  I had my dad call 911, while I kept talking to him to keep him awake. He was definitely fighting to stay awake.  Come to find out he had been having seizures and aspirated. He had a grand mal seizure. Fever was 105 and BP was dangerously high.

As of today, January 16, he is still on a ventilator.  His progress is very slow but going in the right direction. We are hopeful that he will be off the ventilator in a few days. He’s not out of the woods and also has pneumonia they are treating. He is very confused and agitated when he comes to. So please pray for him!

The kids had been with their dad over the weekend before he tested positive, unfortunately they are both positive. Thank God they have only had a few minor symptoms and feel ok. They are almost out of quarantine and hopefully remain in the clear.

Go Fund Me asks that I explain my relationship to Bill.  Bill is my ex-husband and father to my children, Miles (17) and Emerson (12).  Bill has another daughter, Kaitlyn (28), who lives in Texas. Kaitlyn plans to be here to help Bill when he is released to go home. Bill and I have been divorced for 8 years, but have remained good friends and co-parents.  Our families still often spend birthdays, holidays, and the occasional family dinners together.  Myself and the kids are the only local family he has, so it's not unusual for me or my dad to check on him frequently. Bill's parents - Gail, Bill, and Diane; his sister - Christy; and his extended family live in Arkansas; and they all love him and are praying hard for him.  Bill has many many friends all over the country that also love him and are praying for him to make a full recovery.

We don't know how long this road is for Bill at this time, as there are a lot of uncertainties right now.  I know Bill will appreciate any support you can provide, and please keep praying for him.  Friends, be safe out there.  We live in a different world today.  COVID doesn't discriminate and can hit anyone.  Please wear your mask and get your vaccine to protect yourself and your loved ones.  It's very difficult to not be able to be with loved ones when they are in the hospital and fighting to get better.

Love to you all,
