Bill Koza was the best husband, father, son, brother and uncle you could ever want to meet. One of the all-time great guys.
We lost him to COVID in a brief but intense battle last week. Bill went from a fever to the hospital to a ventilator to being airlifted to a larger hospital and sadly to death in seven nightmarish days. He leaves behind his wife Amy, plus an incredible son and daughter, Derek and Abby. Bill's extended family is heartbroken and trying to understand how this could happen.
We're seeking help to pay the anticipated mountain of medical bills. It's hard enough coping with the unexpected loss of a loved one, imagine the impact of losing your family's primary wage earner.
Bill was only 56 years-old and healthy. Didn't smoke and exercised most every day. He was staying quarantined and following the mask rules. The sadness, confusion and grief are overwhelming. Most of us know how deadly COVID is, but those 465,000+ deaths really hit home after you lose a loved one.
I can't tell you how much we appreciate anything you can share. We hope to lesson the worry about the financial impact, so Amy, Abby, Derek and the rest of the family can focus on coping with the grief of losing a good man way too soon.
Thank you so very much.
