Hello, my name is Bill Higgins, and I was a homeless veteran again. I had to leave an apartment for my own mental health on August 1st, 2022. After 5 days in the TOGUS VA Medical Center, my counselor and psychiatrist determined that I get housing elsewhere. I was eligible for transitional housing but no room was available. After an injury in late August last year, I had to move back in with that roommate. She then stole a few thousand in funds from me, while paying less than half of her rent portion from August 2022 to July 2023. This almost caused eviction.

I was able to move into the new apartment on July 28, 2023. Any further assistance is appreciated. I am setting up a new household, with the exception of an old couch, a recliner, and a desk I found alongside the road about 14 years ago.
