Bill has always been a devoted family man who loves spending time with his kids, listening to music, and taking drives to enjoy the beauty of nature. For many years, he worked alongside his father and uncles and son and nephews and cousins in drywall construction, taking pride in his craft and providing for his loved ones. Unfortunately, his recent battle with lung cancer has changed everything. After a period of improvement, a recent scan revealed stage 2 cancer in his other lung, in a location that makes treatment especially challenging. With his medical history and significant weight loss, surgery is not an option, and his doctors are urging him to begin CyberKnife treatment as soon as possible to prevent the cancer from spreading.

Getting to treatment has become a major obstacle. Savannah, where Bill receives care, is an hour and a half from our home. Our only vehicle broke down, and we’ve struggled to find reliable transportation for his appointments. Missing or delaying these visits could seriously impact Bill’s chances for recovery, as his doctors stress the importance of staying on schedule. On top of the stress of his illness, we’re facing travel expenses, gas costs, and the challenge of keeping up with bills while Bill is unable to work.
