Hi all! My name is Devon and this is my dad, Bill. Bill has had a rough go at it recently and has fallen on some hard times. A little bit about my dad first: Bill is a veteran that served in the US Air Force from 1973-1981. He spent a large part of his life as semi-truck driver until he was forced into early retirement due to a horrific accident involving the truck he drove. He spends his time visiting family, watching old westerns, bringing the residents of his building to doctors appointments, grocery shopping, and to church meetings. In the Summer, he helps deliver lunches to kids who can’t afford them outside of school. My dad is the kindest, goofiest, most thoughtful, and most giving man you will meet. He truly would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. This man has the biggest and most helpful heart, and now he needs help himself but would never ask for it. So I’m asking for him! Bill’s car, a 20 year old minivan with almost 300k miles on it has finally bit the dust and he can no longer afford to fix it or buy a new car. My hope is that YOU can help me get enough money together to get the most deserving guy a reliable vehicle so he can continue doing all the work and volunteering that he loves doing.
