Help Bill Fully Recover!

Hi, my name is Alex and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of an amazing couple, Bill & Wendy Stephens.

Bill went in for a procedure to put a stent in his carotid artery to clear an 80% blockage and encountered an uncommon complication. His vein collapsed around the stent and while it was corrected within 12 hours, a small clot broke off and went to his brain resulting in a stroke. He had a second surgery to repair the damage and was unresponsive afterwards. Within 3 days he has improved greatly-in part to the amazing team of doctors and nurses at their San Diego hospital, in part to the incredible strength and support from his wife Wendy, and finally, to the sheer determination and grit of Bill himself.

He is able to move his left arm and both legs, and his right arm is getting stronger. His speech has not yet returned, but if you know Bill you know he will do the work to get back to his normal cross country motorcycle riding, jeep off-roading, trail preservation, horse riding happy life!

Bill will need rehab for both physical issues as well as speech therapy etc. I ask for any support you can give to help Bill and Wendy handle medical bills and expenses while he recovers.
