Help Bill Focus on Healing, Not Bills

Hello! My name is Kristyn Pedersen and I’m reaching out for help for my dad Bill Schneider. On Friday at around 6:30pm, I received a horrific phone call about my dad. He had a heart attack and his blood work wasn’t great. I grabbed my keys and rushed to the hospital with my husband. Upon arrival to the ER, there’s my dad laying in the hospital bed with a smile on his face and he greeted us as if life was grand and nothing happened. I did some investigation, spoke to the ER staff and they informed me that yes he had a heart attack and his heart enzymes were the worst they’ve ever seen. Needless to say, he was admitted into the hospital and lots of testing was done the very next morning. They sent him off at around 11am for a heart catheter and that’s when things took a turn for the worst. They deployed 2 stents, 1 collapsed and 1 in what they call the “Widow maker”, which is the main artery to your heart. It’s very damaged, the stent is in there, however, he has another blockage further down the widow maker. He was in that procedure that’s suppose to take about an hour without any complications for 3hrs and moved to ICU. He’s been there for a few nights and getting a lil better day by day. He’s not out of the woods yet, there’s a long journey ahead for him and all of us that are involved in his care. My dad works at the hospital where he’s at, he’s the sole provider for his family, his wife had a heart attack a few weeks ago and he’s in a very long process of trying to adopt his granddaughter that he’s had since she was 5 months old. There’s not enough I can say about the type of person my daddy is. He’s a hard worker, always has been, the best daddy any child could ever dream of having, compassionate, care taker and literally everybody just absolutely loves and adores my father. I’ve never ran into anyone that would say anything but good things about him. All of his co-workers say he’s the best and he was recognized at his work for simply being that, the best. Now, he’s needing help so he can focus on getting better and not stressing about medical bills or how he’s going to pay his mortgage or put food on the table during this difficult time. We need my daddy to relax and not worry about anything except getting better and healing so he can be around another 20-40yrs or longer and watch his youngest grow up and simply participate in all the best things in life. So we’re reaching out with heavy hearts and asking for your help and support during this difficult time.

UPDATE- I brought my dad to a different hospital called Asante due to right “kidney” pain. Needless to say he was admitted again, I was awake for 30+hrs with him, he has SEVERAL blood clots in BOTH lungs, 2 in his heart and his Left ventricle is a big concern. He's been in pain, they’re very concerned said it’s typical for the blood clots to cause pain. He’s stable, released him after 4 days, he’s on blood thinners and not out of the woods yet. His heart is only pumping at 30%, normal persons heart pumps blood to everything at 55%-70% depending on the size of the person. My dad can’t get better if all he’s doing is worrying about his finances and how much all of these medical bills are costing. He infact refused an MRI due to the high cost and Aetna insurance doesn’t cover very much. This is about extending his life, bettering his health and not worrying about all the other things. He can’t work right now due to all these complications. He only has about 120hrs of PTO/Sick time before things get really scary financially for him. This is life of death and we’re all scared!
