Help Bill Beat Lymphoma
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
On September 1st, after 5 days of feeling sick, Bill’s doctor recommended a chest x-ray after ruling out covid and the flu. The x-ray revealed a 15x13cm tumor in his chest, in addition to dangerous levels of fluid around his heart. He quickly underwent a procedure to drain the fluid while awaiting biopsy results of the tumor. Additional CT scans revealed a large blood clot in his jugular vein that will be treated with blood thinners over the next 6 months. The clot combined with the pressure of the tumor has resulted in SVC syndrome, meaning he has restricted blood flow to his heart, causing a lot of swelling and discomfort. After 6 days in the hospital, he got biopsy results back and received the diagnosis of T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma/Leukemia, a rare and aggressive form of Lymphoma that requires inpatient chemotherapy. Treatment is expected to last 12 months at Duke University Hospital.
Bill has always been known for his adventurous spirit and unwavering determination. He has approached life's challenges head-on, never backing down from any obstacle that came his way, and this fight will be no different. Now, as he fights, we want to rally together and provide him with the support he needs to focus on his health and well-being.
Our goal is to raise funds to cover medical expenses that accompany such a diagnosis. The costs of treatments, consultations, medications, and hospital stays can quickly become financially burdensome for any family. Additionally, we aim to provide financial stability for Bill's wife and children during this difficult time.
Every contribution you make will make a significant impact on their lives. Your generosity will not only alleviate the financial strain, but also provide emotional support that is invaluable during such a challenging period. Together, let's show Bill that he is not alone in this fight – that there is an army of love surrounding him.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, compassion, and support during this challenging time. Together, we can make a difference and provide hope for Bill and his family as they navigate this journey.
Additionally, we kindly ask that you share this campaign with your network, spreading the word to maximize our reach and impact.
With heartfelt appreciation,
The Bricker Family
