Hi, my name is Bill and a man who I consider my best freind died recently. I need help getting my wife and I to the memorial service in the Bay Area in early September of this year.

On july 15th I looked at the my messages on my phone when I saw that an old freind whom I hadn't spoken to in a very long time had texted me. I read the text and couldn't believe it. James was dead. Died in his sleep, my freind said. I texted back 'Jim H?" I could not believe it. Yes was the reply. I still can't believe it. And that's the feeling that a lot of Jim's freinds have expressed. Disbelief. He touched a great many people's lives. He was warm and generous always ready to help a friend in need.

I met James in 1986 at the Alhambra movie theater in SF where he worked. I was wearing a promo button for the movie I was seeing and we hit it off immediately talking about the film and the original one it was a remake of. Movies and music would continue to be the touchstones of my freindship with Jim.

Right now we just can't afford to travel from Arizona to the Bay Area to attend the Memorial. We recently had to cover a repair to our homes AC unit and of course the prices on everyday goods has risen. Our deepest and most sincere thanks go out to anyone who can help make this possible.
