Help Cover Lisa Chamberlain's Final Expenses

Family and friends, it is with the heaviest heart and humbling need that this gofundme page has been set up. It is in hopes to help offset the cost of hospital expenses and funeral costs for the unexpected tragic death of Lisa Chamberlain. Lisa did not have any Life insurance and didn't work long enough to collect social security. Bill has always worked very hard to provide for his family. He has always gone out of his way and is willing to help anyone. At this time he is the one in need.

Bill and their children are asking family, friends and loved ones who can help, to donate $1 or even $10. Every bit will help no matter how much.

After a fall and overnight hospital stay, Lisa had gone into a rehabilitation facility to gain strength before returning home. However, early morning on Thursday April 10th, Bill, her husband and partner of 42 years, was woken by a frantic phone call from the facility she was at. Bill was informed Lisa was found unresponsive in the dinning room and had stopped breathing. They shared that CPR and life saving measures were being done. Bill and the family unsure of what they would find, arrived at the rehabilitation facility. The ambulance was there and EMS shared she was breathing but still unconscious.

The family felt positive to hear she was breathing and that the nightmare was over. Unfortunately, it had just begun. Lisa was taken to Syracuse, St. Joseph's Hospital, where family gathered and prayed for a positive outcome. The doctor informed the family that they found food stuck in her airway that she choked on. The asphyxiation was what caused her to stop breathing and test confirmed she went atleast 20 minutes without a heartbeat. She was in a coma and was placed on a breathing machine and life support to give her body a chance to heal.

Tragically, further testing showed Lisa suffered irreversible brain damage and her organs and body was shutting down. Medical professionals explained to the family that with the damage Lisa suffered, her time was limited and she wouldn't wake from the coma.

With her husband, four children and many loved ones surrounding her, the family chose to take her off life support. Which was a wish she adamantly shared with her family for years.

On the afternoon of April 15, 2025, Lisa took her last breath surrounded by loved ones.

Lisa was a partner and wife of 42 years, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Tia/Aunt and friend to many. She spent most of her adult life as a homemaker. Bill had his own business in construction. They lived a loving and simple life and share many great memories with family and friends.

The family is planning a celebration of life for Lisa on July 19, 2025 at their residence.
