My name is Kim and I am starting this GoFundMe for my only brother, Bill Akey. He was recently diagnosed with Merkel Cell Carcinoma, a very rare, aggressive, and fast-growing cancer. Bill just got married on August 31st. He should be starting a new happy chapter of his life, but instead, less than 60 days later, he is fighting for his life and facing enormous medical bills. He does have insurance; however, it doesn't begin to touch the already mounting bills. He is a proud man that would never ask for help, but he needs to focus on beating this and not worrying about insurmountable medical bills. If you are in a position or are able to help my brother, anything would help and be appreciated.
