Rally for Bill Broadway: A Hero's Fight Against Cancer

 On December 29, 2023, our community's own Bill Broadway, a man known for his unwavering dedication to others, received a life-altering diagnosis: Stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare bile duct cancer. For nearly two years, Bill has met this challenge with incredible resilience, surpassing his initial prognosis and inspiring us all with his fight.

 Bill's journey has been arduous, filled with rounds of chemotherapy and, more recently, difficult surgeries for bowel and kidney blockages. A recent CT scan unfortunately shows the cancer progressing. Yet, Bill's resolve to heal remains strong, and he is pursuing vital holistic treatments, such as ozone therapy and high dose vitamin C infusions. These innovative therapies offer hope, but they come at a significant cost—around $25,000 —adding to the immense financial strain of his ongoing care.

 Bill is a true pillar of our community. For 9 years, he shaped young minds as a high school teacher, and for over 8 years, he has bravely served as a police officer with both the Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Huntersville Police Departments. He is a man of God, a loving husband to Sarah, and a devoted father to their 8-year-old son, Declan - who is his absolute world.

 Bill has always been there for us, the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. Now, it's our turn to circle around him and his beloved family.
