The Last One Left: Bilal’s Fight for Life After Losing His Family
From a Home Full of Love to a Tent of Loneliness – Help Bilal Live
Bilal is the only one who survived among his family in Gaza after an airstrike destroyed his home.
Now suffering from a critical heart condition, he lives alone in a tent with no access to treatment.
Your support could save his life.

My Name is Bilal Fathi Ahmad
I’m an accounting graduate from Gaza, Palestine.
I used to live a simple, loving life with my small family — my father, my mother, and my brother Mohammed.
But everything changed forever on Friday, December 22, 2023.
That afternoon, I stepped out to charge my phone — we had no electricity at home.
When I returned at sunset, the street was filled with chaos — screams, ambulances, flashing lights, and flames lighting up the sky.
I asked someone what had happened. He looked at me and said:
> "Your house was bombed… your family was inside."
My heart pounded like never before. Then everything went black.
---
I woke up in the hospital...
I asked about my family. The doctor said:
> "We’re sorry… all your family members have passed away."
My father, who was waiting for dinner.
My mother, who had made rice pudding for me.
My brother Mohammed, who was preparing for his wedding.
All gone.
They were my strength. They were everything to me.
Since losing them, life has been nothing but unbearable.
---
I am the only one who survived among my family in Gaza. And sometimes... I wish I hadn’t.
I didn’t just lose my family — I lost my home, my memories, and the life I knew.
Today, I live alone in a tent, with no warmth, no safety, and no hope.
I suffer from an irregular heartbeat, and I have a pacemaker implanted in my chest.
Recently, I’ve been feeling sharp pain. Tests revealed the pacemaker is failing and its battery is nearly dead.
There is no treatment available in Gaza.
On January 30, 2025, I received an urgent medical referral for treatment abroad,
but I couldn’t leave — the borders were closed, and I had no funds.
---
We are now facing real famine and unimaginable living conditions.
There is no work. No income.
And no way I can afford the cost of travel or treatment.
---
I’m reaching out with a heart full of pain… and the last bit of hope I have.
Even the smallest donation could save my life.
Please, don’t let my story end here. Don’t let me die alone as my family did.
Help me live...
For the memory of those I lost — and for what’s left of my life.
