Help Big Troy Donohue Fight Sporadic Inclusion Body Myositis
Donation protected
My Dad, Big Troy Donohue, has been a pillar of Lyons, Oregon his entire life. Always a family man and willing to help out anyone who needed it. He has worked incredibly hard his entire life to create a life for his family and his community, serving as mayor and city councilor for many years. A Dad, a papa, a husband. And now he needs help.
Recently, he has been diagnosed with Sporadic Inclusion Body Myositis--a rare degenerative muscle disease that has had a serious effect on his body and ability to work. The process to get this diagnosis has taken over a year and extensive medical testing, and this disease has progressed very rapidly over the last several months to the point that he can no longer walk and is now weighs less than 200 lbs.
For years, he was a man willing to work insane hours and put his body on the line to provide for his family, but unfortunately, this disease has taken his ability to do so. He is now totally and permanently disabled, but his personality is still intact. Big Troy is still around and can be for many years with the right equipment to help maintain his quality of life.
We are looking for community support to help him get a wheelchair-accessible van and other medical necessities for his home.
If you would rather donate through Venmo it is @helpbigtroy
If you could find the kindness to help donate to this fund, it would be incredibly appreciated.
Much Love--The Donohues
