On August 12, our Big Tae’s food trailer caught fire, bringing everything we had been building to an unexpected stop.

Over the past few months, my family, my team, and I have poured everything we have into Big Tae’s. What started as an idea grew into something bigger than we ever imagined. We traveled throughout Mississippi serving thousands of people, created jobs, built an amazing community known as the Bear Pack, and watched people drive hours and stand in long lines just to support us.

Seeing the truck damaged by fire has been devastating.

Thankfully, no lives were lost, and that's something I'll forever be grateful for. But financially, this has put us in an extremely difficult position. The truck was the heart of our operation and our primary way of generating revenue.

I also want to be completely transparent with everyone supporting us: the food truck was not insured at the time of the fire. That was my responsibility as the owner, and I have to own that mistake.

I'm currently raising funds to help us deal with the immediate financial impact of the fire and outstanding obligations of the business while my family and I determine what comes next for Big Tae’s.

Right now, I genuinely don't know what the next chapter looks like.

What I do know is that we have worked incredibly hard to build Big Tae’s, and I'm not ready to let everything we've built disappear because of one devastating day.
