Help “Big Mike” Porter’s Family with Medical Expenses

On behalf of my family, I want to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity over the past month. I am excited to share the following update!

We are not quite sure where to even begin to express our gratitude to all our family, friends and those that only have heard about us through this Go Fund Me for your financial support and never-ending prayers and well wishes. Friday, August 23rd will forever be a day that has changed us. We, without a doubt, cannot thank God enough for protecting Michael (Big Mike, Bruiser, Porter ect…) that morning. He has been home from the hospital since Thursday, August 29th and able to recover at home with our two young boys cheering him on to get better as soon as possible so he can get back out there throwing around the football, pitching all the strikes, and holding our nightly wrestling matches.

We are still waiting for progress results of x-rays and MRIs, but we, along with his doctors, are optimistic that all his injuries can and will heal in time.

Our spirits are high as we are so grateful our boys still have their father to grow up with and that this world still gets a lot more of Michael’s humor, passion, enthusiasm and determination.

A world of thanks to all of you for taking some of the stress finances can hold in these situations and for surrounding our family with the never-ending prayers.

My name is Michele Baumann. My family and I are organizing this fundraiser for our sister, Carla Porter, brother-in-law, Michael Porter, and their family. On August 23, Carla received a heart stopping phone call that Michael was in a serious car accident and was taken by Flight for Life to Froedtert. Michael or “Big Mike” continues to improve and impress doctors with his progress and determination. The reality though is that the road to a full recovery is long and the medical bills will be extensive. We ask for your prayers and if you can, a donation to help lessen the financial burden.
