Help “Big Mike” Sakal focus on healing

Friends and family,

As many of you may know, Mike Sakal, had a Major Right Brain Hemorrhagic Stroke at the gym on July 09, 2025. He was airlifted to Advent Health on Fletcher in Tampa. He is currently doing occupational and physical therapy for left side paralysis in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at the same hospital. This has turned his and Suzie’s lives upside down.

Mike is a dedicated husband, friend and was a public servant, serving our community for 32 years, with the Palm Harbor Fire Department. We can show our thanks to Mike by helping him with the overwhelming financial burden of recovery from a stroke. Every donation, regardless of size, will make a tangible difference in Mike's ability to focus on healing. While insurance will cover some costs, substantial out-of-pocket expenses are expected for home alterations (2 sets of stairlift chairs, rails in bathrooms…) medications, specialized equipment, travel for appointments, rehabilitation therapies that are critical to recovery.
