Help Big Jeff Overcome Health Challenges

I’m reaching out to seek your support for our incredible friend, Big Jeff, a true legend in the hip hop community. Born in the Bronx and raised in Queens, Jeff has dedicated his life to promoting and celebrating hip hop culture. His journey began as a teenager, listening to iconic DJs and attending park jams, eventually leading him to join Zulu Nation in 1994, where he quickly became known for booking iconic artists like Whodini, Slick Rick, Ice Tee and KRS-One for events that shaped our culture.

Jeff’s passion for hip hop goes beyond just promoting events; he has forged deep connections with artists and fans alike. His love for the pioneers of hip hop led to the organization of memorable events

such as Jam Master Jay and Big Pun. His work has brought artists like Rakim, DMC, and many more to the stage, helping to keep the spirit of hip hop alive.

Recently, Jeff has faced significant health challenges. He has had chronic knee problems, which led him to stop working in September 2023. After undergoing knee replacement surgery in February 2024, he faced further complications, including cellulitis and an infection in his leg. In mid-August, the knee replacement had to be removed, and he is currently in a rehabilitation facility. Once the infection is completely gone, he is scheduled for another knee replacement surgery in November. The recovery and rehab process will take about six months, during which he will be unable to work.

During this challenging time, Jeff needs our help to cover everyday living expenses and medical costs.
