On the night of the March 2026 Kona Low Storm, my life changed in an instant. The floodwaters rose so quickly that I barely had time to react. At 76 years old and retired, I live off social security, and my home is my sanctuary. When the flood hit, my nephew had to rescue me at three in the morning. I didn’t have time to grab anything—everything I owned was left behind as we escaped to safety.
The damage to my home is overwhelming, and I am facing the challenge of rebuilding from scratch. The loss of my belongings and the uncertainty of what comes next have been difficult to process. I am reaching out for help because I cannot do this alone. These funds will cover urgent and immediate needs, from replacing essentials to making my home livable again, and will help me get back on my feet.
I would be grateful for any support, whether through donations or sharing my fundraiser. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference in my recovery and give me hope for the future. Thank you for being part of my journey to rebuild after this disaster.
