My mom, Lorna—known to many as Bibi—has always been a source of strength and kindness in our community. Recently, her life was turned upside down when the Kona storm brought devastating flash flooding to Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. In a desperate attempt to escape the rising waters, Bibi nearly lost her life. Tragically, she lost her camper home, all of her belongings, and her beloved pet pig. The area remains in a state of emergency, with the rains still pouring and uncertainty all around.

Bibi has always been the first to help others, but now she needs our support more than ever. She is facing the overwhelming challenge of starting over from nothing—finding a safe place to stay and replacing the essentials she lost in the flood. The emotional and financial toll is immense, and it’s hard to imagine how anyone could recover from such a loss alone.
