My best friend Bianca needs our help!
Bianca was in a freak accident at Bondi on Sunday, she misplaced her footing and she slipped, resulting in her shin bone hitting the cement and splitting in half, protruding through her skin as well as multiple hair line fractures throughout her ankle.
She has since undergone surgery where they inserted a metal rod through her knee, inbetween the bones down through the ankle and drilled it all back to reconstruct it.
She will not be able to attempt to walk for at the very minimum 10 weeks. As anyone who loves Bianca knows she relies heavily on fresh air, walks and the gym, not just physically but mentally.
She is also very independent, living on her own in Sydney away from her family and close friends in Melbourne. Due to the current virus no-one from Melbourne is able to fly up and care for her.
She is out of work already due to the virus struggling to make ends meet. She will be now living off the small amount of savings she has.
She’s terrified of what the next few months will bring for her mentally and I just want to take the stress of money away from her so she can keep a roof over her head. ANY amount will help small or large. Kind messages of love and support are also very helpful too.
The money raised will be going to her rent per week, food, bills, basic living, ambulance fee, and specialized physiotherapy to get her walking again.
