Hi everyone. My name is Bianca. I don't like to ask for help, but I've run out of options. I've worked for Buc-ee's for over 6 months now and have been pushing myself to become a certified trainer. Over the last few months, I've had increasing dizzy spells and blood pressure drops until I was sent to the ER from work for collapsing in the bathroom. The doctors just told me it was dehydration and to drink more. For the next few days, I was feeling better drinking more water. I was released back to work shortly and made it through a 10-hour shift with some spells, but they went away. The next day I worked, the spells were much worse and didn't get better with how much water I was drinking. The room started to spin, and I kept losing my footing. I was sent home from work and went to the ER again. They admitted me overnight for observation. After many tests, I was diagnosed with idiopathic intracranial hypertension. Too much fluid was putting pressure on my brain. Even after the most painful spinal tap I had ever experienced, things have not gotten better. Buc-ee's is a lot of things, but being on FMLA just secures my job but not my finances. I am asking my amazing friends and family if they would be able to assist me for the next 2 months as I adjust and recover to this lifelong disease. The funds will help me cover my bills while I recover and adjust to living with this lifelong disease. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to me as I focus on my health and getting back on my feet.
