My sister Bianca Pierce is currently pregnant with a very special boy named Lennix. He has a heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. When he is born, he will have a series of surgeries to fix this issue. She is due May 2, 2025 but will likely have him before then. We are looking to raise money to cover trip expenses and basic necessities involved with traveling and staying in North Carolina for several weeks before and after for her so at least that burden is lifted. Update: Lennix was born on April 29, 2025 and came into the world crying the most beautiful cry! He immediately coded and had to have chest compressions and be taken to the cath lab and put on ECMO. He has since had his big Norwood surgery and came through that well and he’s such a little fighter. He has his great days and then has his not so great days. Lennix and Bianca are still currently in Durham, NC and he is in the cardiac PICU until he is well enough to go to step down then home. We still don’t have a time frame of when he will be home. Any support is appreciated for this single mama!

Update as of 9/25/25: Lennix is scheduled to have his 2nd open heart surgery, the Glenn, on October 2nd, 2025. He will have a heart cath on 9/30/25 so we are going to Duke on 9/29/25. He will have a hopefully shorter hospital stay this time but please pray for everything to go smoothly! After this surgery, he is not projected to have another open heart until he’s 4-5 years of age. He’s such an amazing little boy and we love him so very much!!
