I never thought I’d be writing something like this.
But you never know what life is going to throw at you, and this at least a small way I can try to help.
My sister-in-law Bianca was just diagnosed with colon cancer. She’s 37. A single mom. And the entire world she’s been holding up for her three daughters is now uncertain and overwhelming in a way no one should ever have to face.
Bianca is the kind of mom who doesn’t get a break and never asks for one. She works two jobs. She does school drop-offs, bedtime stories, scraped knees, birthday cupcakes, all of it. Her girls adore her, they need her, and now she has to find a way to fight an incredibly difficult battle while trying to keep their life stable and safe.
Bianca would never ask for help unless she really needed it, so I’m asking for her.
We don’t know yet what this journey will look like, how many surgeries, what kind of treatment, or how long it’ll take. But we do know this: she likely won’t be able to work much. And when you’re the sole provider, that’s terrifying.
This fundraiser isn’t about extras. It’s not for luxuries. It’s for the basics: rent, groceries, gas to get to treatment, clothes for the girls, and help with bills. It’s so Bianca can focus on healing without the weight of “how am I going to pay rent?” sitting on her shoulders.
If you know Bianca, you know how her girls are her whole world, how she has fought through so much to give them a great life, and that she puts everyone else before herself. If you don’t know her, just know this: she’s an incredible person who loves life! She’s gritty and loving and funny and fierce.
If you can give anything — even a little — thank you!
If you can’t, but want to send prayers or share this with someone who can — thank you!
Whatever you’re able to do, just know it means the world to Bianca
And to me.
Let’s show her she’s not in this alone.
