Help Bi Ying Get Teeth Surgery and Go to School!

Hello family and friends!

This is my friend Ying! She’s 16 years old and from a rural part of Jilin, China.

When she was younger she developed a lot of health issues and her father carried her in his arms into a hospital in the city to get checked up on. She was told that she needs heart surgery. After many times to the city and many prayers a donor happened to be there and saw her case and said they would help take care of it, and she was able to receive two open heart surgeries. Her father and her came to America for the operation and stayed with a host family, good family friends of ours (The Ellzeys) and we became very close to them. Fast forward, my mother, and immigration lawyer, understood the implications of the type of education received in China. Knowing that Ying had a lot more potential to grow and make a difference for her family and country, my mother fundraised enough for her to come out for high school the last two years. Thank you to everyone that previously helped make it happen!

Unfortunately due to covid and other complications,

fundraising began to get more difficult, and with her student visa expiring at the beginning of August, I told my mother I would do my best to help out and fundraise with my network of family and friends!

Ying unfortunately developed a tooth infection from an impact wisdom tooth. She has 4 that needs to be removed ($500 each); one being more immediate.

Unfortunately, her insurance does not cover any dental care. We’ve reached out to many non profits and oral surgeons for low cost or pro brono surgery, but we seem to have hit a dead end.

Unfortunately due to covid and crazy unexpected emergencies and circumstances, we are unable to financially accommodate all these needs, so we’re reaching out for help!

Her tuition is estimated to be $36,000 a year and her surgery is about $2000. Putting a goal of $10,000, but really any amount helps!

She is a kind, gentle soul who is an extremely hard worker and enjoys helping people.
