Help BHS Music Shine in New York City
Spende geschützt
It is with great pleasure to announce that the Brockton High School Music Department will be traveling to New York City this April to compete in the World Strides Heritage Music Festival!
From Thursday, April 10th – Sunday, April 13th, members of the BHS Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir, Jazz Band, and Chamber Singers will take in the sights and sounds of the “Big Apple.” Throughout these four days, our students will perform in a festival and receive a clinic from a nationally acclaimed adjudicator; take a backstage tour of Radio City Music Hall; visit Rockefeller Center and the 9/11 Memorial; embark on a dinner cruise around New York Harbor; and attend a performance of the Broadway musical, “SIX.”
We are thrilled to be able to showcase the pride of Brockton on a national level with this educationally enriching and musically fulfilling trip. In the past, our nationally recognized choral and instrumental ensembles have traveled separately, both domestically and abroad, but this is the first time we have combined efforts on a performance tour. To help defray the cost of this trip for our instrumental and choral students, we are kindly asking our generous patrons and supporters for assistance. Your donations will be appreciated and acknowledged in a special recognition section of our Spring Choral Concert and Spring Band Concert programs.
We hope you will consider helping our student musicians enjoy this exciting opportunity, which is sure to be rewarding and unforgettable! Your constant belief in the talent of our young performers has enabled the arts to thrive at BHS – we are forever grateful.
