Hi, my name is Kate Seeland, and I am passionate about connecting people with the wonders of the natural world, especially the “underdogs”. I am starting an animal education outreach program that focuses on those underloved creatures. This program will bring engaging, hands-on experiences to schools, community events, libraries, and more - fostering a deeper understanding and respect for the incredible diversity of life on Earth.

The mission of this program is to spark curiosity and compassion for nature by teaching people about the weird and amazing animals we share our world with. We aim to dispel myths, reduce fears, and build empathy to form a community that values and protects all wildlife. Through interactive presentations and workshops, we hope to inspire future conservationists and animal lovers of all ages.

Why do I need your help? Starting an outreach program like this requires significant resources. From acquiring enclosures and animals to creating educational materials and securing the necessary permits, there are many upfront costs. I need your help to make this vision a reality and bring these experiences to my community.

Animal Acquisition and Enclosures (33%): Ensuring the animals have safe, comfortable, and species-appropriate habitats.

Craft and Office Supplies (7%): Creating engaging and informative materials for presentations and workshops.

Ongoing Animal Care (16%): Providing food, substrate, and other essentials to keep our animals healthy and happy.

Veterinary Care (16%): Regular checkups and medical needs to ensure the animals’ well-being.

Class and Event Supplies (14%): Building interactive displays and tools for hands-on learning experiences.

Marketing and Legal Fees (14%): Spreading the word about our program and ensuring we comply with all regulations.
