I’ve had Bexar since he was a puppy—he was the only one from his litter to survive, and now he’s 10 years old. About a year ago, I found a small mass behind his ear, but the vet said it was just a growth that older dogs sometimes get and not to worry. Over the last couple of months, though, the growth has nearly tripled in size and become a source of irritation for Bexar. I made an appointment for him to get it checked out, but before we could go, Bexar scratched the growth so much that it created a gash. I found him covered in blood, with the growth oozing and the wound open and big. The vet made time to see us right away, but now Bexar needs surgery to remove the growth, and the cost is more than I can manage on my own.
I’m at a loss for how I’m going to cover the cost and would really appreciate any sort of help to get Bexar taken care of. I’m embarrassed to ask for help, but I literally don’t know what else to do. Bexar means everything to me, and I just want him to be comfortable and healthy again. Any support to help Bexar get the care he needs would mean the world to us.
