Help Bevin Fight the BIG Fight
Donation protected

Anyone who knows Bevin knows she is a strong and adventurous woman. She loves the mountains and rivers of Montana and the rich life it affords her, her children, and partner Matthew. As her dear friend, I am writing today to let you all know that Bevin is now preparing for a new kind of adventure and is stepping into the world of Breast Cancer.
Bevin was diagnosed, just before Christmas, with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and is now receiving treatments at the Community Cancer Center in Missoula, MT. She had surgery in late January (a lumpectomy) and is grateful that it confirmed her Stage 1 diagnosis. Even with her optimistic diagnosis, Bevin will still receive both Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments as part of her path to a cure. She is currently receiving weekly chemo treatments, every Thursday, through the end of May.
She is optimistic that the challenge of treatments over the next 6 months or so will be manageable and empowering. As a distance runner, she speaks about managing this process like a long-distance mountain race; she will focus on one step at a time, embrace the suffering and enjoy the unique perspectives this process will bring to her life.
She is humble in receiving donations but, myself, and several other friends and family, would like to see us all shower her and her family with financial support as she incurs the costs of medical bills, palliative care, gasoline, lodging, and time away from work.
Bevin's prognosis is good, but the road is long. Let's all help lessen this enormous burden by banding together in our efforts to give what we can. Thank you so much for your donation.
