Help Beverly with funeral and medical bills
Donation protected
I have known the Willard family for 13 years. I could not count the amount of times I have been over for family crab feasts and sleepovers. They embraced me as one of their own right away and never made me feel as if I was imposing. I am so saddened that I have to write this on behalf of what has truly become my second family.
Beverly’s husband Rob unexpectedly passed away on May 21st. He fought hard for three weeks in the ICU after being flown via helicopter to University of Maryland Medical Center. Funds would help cover funeral/memorial costs and immediate medical and emergency expenses. I want to encourage all friends and peers to please contribute and/or share. Any contribution will go a long way.
A little about Rob:
Rob spent his childhood growing up in Burlington, VT where he became an avid sailor, soccer player, skier, and lover of the outdoors. After high school, he joined the Army for four years during which time he served as an aid and driver for his commanding officer while stationed in Germany. Upon discharge from the service, he moved to Texas where he met Beverly. Together, they relocated to Maryland and have been residents of Annapolis for over 30 years.
Rob was a devoted father to his children and taught them to be independent and self-sufficient adults who share his love of adventure. Growing up and throughout his adult life, Rob was a dedicated and steadfast brother who could make his siblings laugh like no other.
Rob was a leader in Venture Crew 783 and enjoyed many scuba diving, canoeing, and backpacking trips with his children and the other scouts. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading, fly fishing, relaxing with his pets, and spending vacations and holidays with his family.
He will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, his adventurous spirit, and his knack for giving everyone he knew a clever nickname.
