My name is Beverly Hackett, and I am raising funds for myself after a frightening and unexpected incident at my apartment community. On Thursday, October 22, 2026, gunfire damaged my Nissan Sentra. I was told that a few suspects were shooting at a refrigerator across from two buildings in our community, and the gunfire ricocheted toward my car. A bullet entered through my rear windshield, leaving a large hole and shattering the glass. It continued through the car and struck the front windshield, shattering that glass as well. Broken glass was scattered throughout my vehicle, and police responded to the scene. This has been a deeply upsetting experience and has left me facing repairs I did not expect.

I am asking for help to replace both windshields, cover professional glass cleanup, and pay for the related repairs needed to make my car safe to drive again. I plan to share repair estimates, along with any insurance coverage details and the remaining out-of-pocket costs, as that information becomes available. If you are able to donate, any amount would mean so much and would help ease this financial burden. If you are not able to give, sharing this fundraiser would also be a big help. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
