Hello, my name is Beverly Harris. I am reaching out for help to keep my power/water on this summer. As an 80-year-old retired widow living with glaucoma, kidney failure, and type 2 diabetes, the heat is especially dangerous for me. Recently, my power & water was shut off because of a high bill—almost $6,800—and I am struggling to survive the summer temperatures without a fan or air conditioning. We were able to get it temporally turned back on , but time is running out. I am not asking for the full amount, but just enough to help me get back on my feet and set up a payment plan with the power company so I can stay safe and continue living independently.

The funds raised will go directly toward restoring my power and setting up a manageable payment plan. This will allow me to keep my home cool and safe, and help me manage my health conditions without the added stress of extreme heat. I know there are many people in need, and I am grateful for any support, no matter how small.
