Help Betty's Family Rebuild After Devastating Fire

Hi everyone,

My sister, brother-in-law, their two special needs boys, daughter, and grandchild have lost their home Sunday, September 1st, due to a fire in the apartment directly above them. Their home is now uninhabitable due to extensive water and smoke damage to the entire apartment. Thankfully, they were able to escape unharmed, which is miraculous as their two boys are unable to walk on their own. They left with just the clothes they had on and managed to grab the container that had their important documents in it. Their entire family is currently displaced.

While we are incredibly grateful that everyone is okay and nobody was injured, they have a long road ahead of them as the apartment above them, where the fire occurred, is being salvaged first, and then the team will move down to their apartment. There is no information as to when they’ll be able to get back into their apartment, if at all, at this time. Unfortunately, nearly everything they own was destroyed, including important medical equipment such as feeding tubes, wheelchairs, and formula that the boys need for nourishment as they cannot chew food normally unassisted.

Anything you can donate will help as they will face many challenges over the next 12+ months.
