Help Betty (Lola) Reach Her Forever Home

Betty and I crossed paths when she was found hiding under my car, too scared to let me near. She had clearly been abused, beaten and lived her life in fear. My guess is she had been a hunting dog, and abandoned as she couldn’t hunt. Everyday I left her food and water, and tried to get close but she cowered away each and every time. She stopped eating after a week, and became too weak to even run away. It was clear she was on deaths door as I could count every bone in her body and she had a foul smell.

At the vet, we discovered she had a severe womb infection, extreme anemia, and leishmaniasis. The vet was unsure if she would make it through the night. For two weeks I took her to the vet everyday where she fought for her life, and with help from kind friends and an animal charity, she got the treatment she desperately needed. She’s now neutered, recovering, and finally learning what love feels like. And she has gained a lot of weight!

A forever home is waiting for her in the UK. They have decided to call her Lola. There is a an available flight for November — but we need help to raise the funds to get her there.

After everything she has survived, Lola deserves this happy ending. Please help us make sure she never suffers again. ❤️
