Betty is an 11 week old gorgeous, chubby chocolate labrador who is in immediate danger of being put to sleep!
This little bundle of fun came to our attention through a vet who knowing how passionate and dog obsessed we are thought we would be able to help in some way or another, whether that be adoption or fundraising.
Betty has got Ectopic Ureters. This is an incredibly rare condition which is an embryological error when the tract is developing. In simple terms this means that little Betty's ureters (tubes that bring urine from the kidneys to the bladder) are not attached in the right place, ie could be attached to the colon, the vagina or uterus causing contiunous painful UTI's.
Betty is one of 11 little chocolate labradors that have all found glorious homes to go to, but sadly due to her condition and the cost, the breeder is not willing to pay, therefore Betty would have to be put to sleep which is just so incredibly heartbreaking. Betty is now in our care and we are desperate to give her the chance that she deserves!
Betty is an absolute poppet, she is gentle, intelligent and just one big bundle of joy, and the thought of her not even having a chance at life is just tragic.
We contacted multiple referral centres and have found a local practice who are willing to help! Hopefully together we can save little Betty’s life.
We are so unbelievable grateful that they have agreed to do the operation but the funding is still very much needed!

Thank you in advance for your kind contribution, it is greatly appreciated and it will make such a difference!
