Help Betty get to her First BMX World Championships

Betty Wills is a young athlete who has been competing in BMX Regionally, Nationally and recently in the European circuit.

Betty is only 9 and this year became National number 1.

She travelled to Verona in May to compete in her first European Championships and came 4th overall so is European No4, this is a massive achievement for her.

Most Recently she went to Ravells, Belgium and competed against the same girls and came away with a 2nd and 1st!

Betty showed an interest in a 4X competition in September and is now National 4X champion!

Betty trains at Bournemouth BMX club, Andover and Gosport 3-4 times a week and is passionate and dedicated to her sport.

Betty has been selected to ride for Prostart UK and World team this year which is a big privilege.

Betty is looking for help towards her first ever World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2025.

We would appreciate any donation to help her dream come true.

As a working family, our budgets are very stretched with race travel and training commitment's so any help would

be grateful to help her achieve her goal of

coming away with a world plate in Copenhagen!

Your help will go towards entry fees, race shirt, travel and accommodation.

She has accomplished these achievements in just three years of competing and has great potential. She is a determined young girl, competing regularly in mixed gender races and cycling at every chance she gets.

She says ‘”BMX has given me confidence to meet friends and overcome my fears at a professional level of sport. I believe that it’s very important to get girls into sport, particularly cycling. Bethany Shriever, MBE (and 2021 Olympic Gold Medalist and 2023 World Champion) is my inspiration.”

Now an Olympic sport in both freestyle and racing disciplines, BMX is heavily supported by British Cycling and is gaining a growing number of followers in the UK and globally.
