Help Betsy Replace Her Stolen Car
Donation protected
Hi everyone. My name is Emiko. This fundraiser is to help our pal, Betsy get funds for a vehicle, which is crucial to running her food cart, Ditto, in Portland, OR. Betsy's previous car was stolen outside her apartment on February 2nd. With support of the great community she's helped build, she was able to find her vehicle herself. It was abandoned, stripped, and totaled. The timing couldn't have been worse. It happened right when she was doing a raffle to help make rent and pay bills for Ditto this month.
A lot of us know how hard the winter months are on food carts in Portland. Mixed with supply chain issues, increase in ingredient prices, pandemic, capitalism, Betsy has been struggling enough already. The loss of her car is another huge setback.
Betsy is one of those rare, truly good people. To be friends with her is such an honor, and I want to do this fundraiser for her because she deserves community support as much as she thinks other people are more deserving.
Through Ditto, Betsy is constantly giving back and using her business to continue a much-needed, ethical-driven small business vegan community in Portland. She wants you all to know that any leftover funds will be donated to Mutual Aid Alliance Portland, who provides aid and resources to BIPoC, LGBTQIA, and unhoused people.
We appreciate any support you can give by donating, sharing, or buying Ditto gift cards. And stay tuned for more giving opportunities later on. Thanks so much!
