By the Grace of God, We Are Alive
We have witnessed firsthand how God works in miraculous ways.
It all started on the night of March 22. I, Beto, had just gotten home from work. Normally, I come inside right away to greet my family, but that night, I stepped back outside to grab a few things from the car. That’s when I smelled smoke. Looking up, I realized it was coming from our roof.
I rushed upstairs and found the second-floor bathroom ceiling on fire. We did everything we could—we grabbed the fire extinguisher, but it wasn’t enough. When we opened the attic door, the fire intensified. At that moment, we knew there was only one thing to do: grab our family, get outside, and call the fire department.
There was nothing else we could do.
But in the midst of chaos, we saw the goodness of people.
Our amazing neighbors rushed to help, offering us comfort in our time of need.
The fire department responded quickly, doing an incredible job and patiently answering all our questions. We are so grateful for them.
The Aftermath
• Water flooded our home.
• The first floor and ceiling were destroyed.
• Beds, clothes, and essential items were lost.
• The fire was likely caused by an electrical issue, but the exact cause is still being determined.
I would never wish this on anyone, and I never imagined I would have to create a donation page. Material things come and go, but this house has been in my family for years, filled with memories and special moments.
Watching our home burn and realizing that we had lost everything was heartbreaking. But nothing compares to the gratitude we feel for being alive.
It is truly a miracle.
I know, without a doubt, that God is real, and He is watching over us.
If it is in your heart to donate and help our family recover, we would be deeply grateful. Every little bit counts—even $1 makes a difference.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ♥️
