Help Beto Beat Leukemia

On January 25th Beto’s life was turned upside down. He was diagnosed with Philadelphia Chromosome-Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (known as Ph+ ALL). After this sudden diagnosis, he was hospitalized and treatment began immediately. Along with chemotherapy, he will need a bone marrow transplant, which will give him the best chance to beat Leukemia and live a long, healthy, full life.

During Beto’s lengthy treatment (probably around a year), he will be unable to return to his job as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor. His wife, Bibi, is in college finishing her architecture degree. Beto is not one to ask for help. He is usually the one giving to others and looking for ways to support his friends, family & the community. From helping & caring for his family, working hard & being a team player at work to dedicating his life to teaching students Jiu-Jitsu, Beto has done so much for so many. Now it’s our time to show Beto the support he has shown to others.

Let’s all join together and donate what we can to help alleviate some of the financial burden that comes with battling cancer. It’s not going to be an easy battle, but we know that everyone’s support will go a long way in helping Beto and his wife Bibi during this difficult time.
