Help Bethany's Shoulder Injury Heal
Donation protected
Hi there friends and family, I am coming to my community for support in helping cover costs for the treatment plan I have for a frozen shoulder. After three years of working on strengthening my loose shoulder joint, I've finally received imaging and a visit with an Orthopedic specialist. He advised that nothing surgical is going to repair the arthrosis of the AC joint or the thickening of the tendon in the armpit indicative of a Frozen Shoulder. I've been working with a physical therapist and Osteopath as well, but these professionals are in the holistic field of medicine and not covered by my insurance. I've been given two recommendations that the treatment of platelet injections (3-4 over a 6 month period) is the path for healing this debilitating condition. The news that the cost of the treatment is $1200 for each injection is a big blow. There are also accompanying weekly therapies for recovering movement. These are intense and painful and take a day to recover. Also not covered by insurance and completely out of pocket.
My hope and prayers are to get this injury healed with the medical help that is available and off the forefront of my daily life so that I can return to building my business. It's very important for me to be able to recover the physical movement required to serve the people I lead in my nature programs. Please, help me solve this frozen shoulder and get back to building up my community's connection to the land.
Everyone that donates will receive an eternally grateful note and anyone that donates $50 or more will receive a piece of my original art.
Vulnerability moment: This step of asking for the help of those that can donate to my medical costs is a big scary step for me. I'm opening up the possibilities of being helped in the specific ways that I need, which, is in and of itself, healing. I love and appreciate you whether you can donate or not. This is a place for you to help celebrate my growth and assist in big events in life, all messages of support are invited too!
Big Love,
Bethany Rennaker
