Help Bethany Walk

Hi everyone,

  I am fundraising to be able to have a surgery where a stimulator will be placed in my spine in order for me to walk. After being able to walk, I will be able to get a hysterectomy due to a rapid growing mass. The mass was not seen Nov 27, 23 and now size of tennis ball January 2, 2024. Both surgeons agree I need to be walking to get the best outcome. Until I have the funds they will not even schedule the first surgery.

  I am currently wheelchair bound, and have two daughters under 3. The device itself is covered by insurance. Unfortunately, the hospital my representative found, after four months of searching, is out of network meaning my insurance will not cover the bill for everything else involved in surgery on someone’s spine. The representative is pregnant and has four weeks or I have to wait at least 2 months meaning the mass will continue growing.

  Both surgeries combined will cause me to be out of commission for 12wks total. My husband works out of the house and can not take that much time off work without pay. Any funds raised beyond surgery cost will be used for childcare, food, and all other assistances needed. 

  My family and I would be so grateful for the help to get me walking and be able to get the rapid growing mass removed as soon as possible.
