My cousin Bethany Gonzalez and her partner Elfrem Hill lost everything in a devastating house fire just five days before Christmas. The only things they were able to save were their lives, their 10 week old kitten (Pepper), the clothes on their backs, and a car. Everything else: clothes, valuables, and precious family heirlooms, was lost in the fire. Bethany did everything she could to stop the flames, even using three fire extinguishers, but nothing could save their home. She heard crackling from the garage that morning, followed by explosions, and by the time help arrived, it was a total loss.
Bethany is one of the most giving people I know. She’s always there for others, cooking meals when someone is sick, offering a helping hand, and creating beautiful, handmade gifts. Now they are starting over from scratch, they need help to get back on their feet and start rebuilding their lives.
The funds raised will help Bethany and Elfrem get essentials like clothing, furniture, appliances etc. while they begin the long process of recovery and rebuilding. Even a small donation will make a difference as they try to move forward from this tragedy. If you can help, please know that your kindness will mean the world to two people who have always given so much to others. Thank you for supporting Bethany and Elfrem as they start over.
