Help Bethany Avoid Eviction and Get Back on Her Feet

I’m writing on behalf of my dear childhood friend, Bethany, who is going through an incredibly difficult time. She urgently needs our help to stay housed and cover her basic bills as she works to rebuild her life.

Bethany moved to Seattle after taking a leap of faith for better opportunities, leaving behind her support system in the Midwest. Her partner lived there and after knowing each other since she was 19-years-old, she was blindsided and left stranded by him after signing a new lease together. Her car was stolen and she was laid off from the Seattle job she loved all around the same time, leaving her stuck and in an expensive apartment alone in a city with zero community locally.

She’s been doing everything she can to survive, but she’s fallen on hard times with the difficult economic state currently.

Bethany is in her mid-thirties, trying to care for herself and her two small dogs. She is a trauma survivor and struggles with an ongoing battle of severe depression. Despite her determination, resilience, and obsessive efforts to resolve the situation, many opportunities she had been counting on have fallen through. Now, she’s facing eviction in just two weeks and is struggling to keep up with her basic bills.

This GoFundMe is to help Bethany cover her immediate needs: rent, utilities, and essential expenses—to keep a roof over her head and give her a little breathing room to get back on her feet.

Long term, Bethany hopes to return to Chicago where she has community and support, but for now, she simply needs stability and a lifeline to get through this crisis.
